We have secured a very limited number of access passes to the Shirakawa-go Light-Up event – the same tickets that typically sell out within minutes of release!

- Morning: Travel independently from Tokyo to the charming town of Takayama via Nagoya.
- Afternoon/Evening: Upon checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours. We recommend exploring the beautifully preserved Sanmachi Suji (Old Town) district.

- Morning & Afternoon: A free day in Takayama. Visit the lively morning markets, historical sites, and local shops at your leisure.
- 15:10: This is the moment! Board the pre-booked tour bus from Takayama to Shirakawa-go. Your access to this transportation is the key to the event.
- 16:20 – 19:30: Arrive at Shirakawa-go. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage site, and as dusk falls, witness the incredible spectacle of the Winter Light-Up (17:30-19:30). See the snow-covered gassho-zukuri farmhouses illuminated against the dark sky, creating a picture-perfect, fairy-tale scene. *No access to the Ogimachi Castle Observation Deck.
- 19:45: Depart from Shirakawa-go.
- 20:45: Arrive back in Takayama.

- 46 days prior to arrival date in Japan: no penalty
- 45-31 days prior to arrival date in Japan: 10% of the tour fee
- 30-15 days prior to arrival date in Japan: 20% of the tour fee
- 14- 8 days prior to arrival date in Japan: 30% of the tour fee
- 7 – 3 days prior to arrival date in Japan: 50% of the tour fee
- 3 days prior to arrival date in Japan: 100% of the tour fee
